I’m Ed Stone, proud owner of Don’s Medical Equipment.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I started this business because it is very gratifying to help our disabled veterans and I feel like it is a beautiful job. I have been in this line of work for ten years, and there have been a lot of changes in that time. However, that is life, and you have to adapt and change with time or get left behind.

It is my pleasure to help people become more independent so that they can lead a more enjoyable life. As a small business owner, it is a challenge to keep up with so many different things. It brings out the best in a person when they are challenged. It is a lot of hard work, but I love it.

My business philosophy is to ensure my customers remain happy because I believe that the best form of advertising is through word of mouth. It doesn’t cost much, but it is very effective. We may never be able to keep everyone content, but we try.

I run my business on the value of honesty. If we make a mistake, we own it. We don’t try to cover it. Most people know that everyone makes mistakes at times. We are not perfect.

There have been quite a few proud moments in our business, but the most satisfying was helping a young couple travel through town. Their son’s power chair needed some repairs, but they didn’t have any money, so they had to push the power chair around. Upon seeing them, one of my customers called me and offered to pay me to help them. We took care of them at no charge. During such times, we try to help as much as we can.

It is our duty to help disabled veterans. These men and women sign up to serve us, so we need to make sure that we fulfill our promise to them.

When I am not busy at work, I like to work in my yard. I’m presently working on a butterfly garden.
